Informed by modularity in design and music, Ciaran’s practice explores themes of absence, space and otherness. Often revealing the process of the making - where elements don’t quite align and layers overlap - his restricted colour palette and refined approach examine not just what we see but how we see it, and how perception becomes the medium.
For Ciaran art is not only about something: it is something. Artwork is an experience, not a statement or an answer to a question.

Writing comes out of tension, tension between what’s inside and what’s outside.
